On 8th July 2009 Google announced to launch an operation system in 2010 to 2011. This operating system is known as Google chrome operating system. It is basically aimed at Microsoft. It might be used in personal computer, offices, banks and also used in multiple manufactures. According to Bill Gates it is very similar to Linux; some said it is like windows. It is light weight and open source operating system and targeted initially Netbooks.

Steve Ballmer and Gates said “We stressed the fact that Google now has two operating systems–Chrome OS and Android”

Bill gates also said “In some ways I am surprised people are acting like there’s something new. I mean, you’ve got Android running on Netbooks”

But I am thinking that Google chrome operating system is based on Google 9th month older web browser called Google chrome and I am also thinking that Google chrome operating system will be popular in budget-conscious consumers because Google chrome operating system will be low cost than Microsoft.

“The vast majority of netbooks already run on Windows, and that is unlikely to change unless Google can demonstrate the Chrome operating system is a significant improvement” said by Paul Jackson

Sundar Pichai said “Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the Web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small Netbooks to full-size desktop systems”

Today windows operating system is the most popular and utilized operating system but If the Google chrome operating is succeed in its aim it might be a big lose for Microsoft Company. Google chrome operating system is basically for those people who spend most of his in web, searching for information, checking email, catching up on the news, shopping or just staying in touch with friends and etc.

Google said “Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we’re already talking to partners about the project, and we’ll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve”
